Application Process

Applications are accepted from July 1st, 2026 – July 22^nd, 2026. To apply, individuals needed to submit a complete application package through the application portal by July 22nd, 2026 (11:59 PM EST). Click HERE to access the portal.

Academic Stream

Applicants to the Academic Stream will be asked to submit:

• A completed online application form, including eligibility screening and contact information.
• A brief summary of their education, training, and relevant experience.
• A Statement of Interest (maximum 750 words) describing their background, research interests related to HIV/STBBIs and clinical trials, career goals, and how ON-TRACK will support their development.
• A description of their HIV/STBBI community, advocacy, research, or service experience (maximum 200 words).
• A ranked list of three preferred co-mentor pairs (one academic/clinical mentor and one community/lived experience mentor for each pair), including a brief rationale for each selection.
• Contact information for two referees, who will be asked to submit letters of support within two weeks of application submission.
• Proof of enrolment in, or completion of, a relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., transcript or degree certificate).

Community Stream

Applicants to the Community Stream will be asked to submit:

• A completed online application form, including eligibility screening and contact information.
• A brief description of their current community role, organization, or lived/community leadership experience.
• A summary of their education, training, volunteer, advocacy, or professional experience.
• Short written responses describing:
  • barriers or experiences that have influenced their educational or career pathway;
  • HIV/STBBI community, advocacy, research, or service experience;
  • why they wish to join ON-TRACK;
  • the skills they hope to develop;
  • how they plan to apply what they learn after the program; and
  • any accommodations or supports that would help them participate fully.
• A ranked list of three preferred co-mentor pairs (one academic/clinical mentor and one community/lived experience mentor for each pair), with a brief rationale.
• Contact information for two referees, who will be invited to submit letters of support within two weeks of application submission.
• Proof of degree enrolment or completion, if available (not required for admission).

References

Applicants to both streams should notify their referees before submitting their application, as referees will have two weeks to submit their letters of support after the application is received. All application materials are treated as confidential and reviewed only by authorized ON-TRACK admissions personnel.

Review Process

• Applications will be screened for eligibility, reviewed and ranked by a Review Committee and top applications will be selected.
• Selected applicants will be issued an offer letter and matched to mentors.
